Adventurous activities to try while in Tenerife

Drift diving

Drift diving is a type of scuba diving that you cannot practice everywhere. Tenerife is one of those blessed locations where you can actually experience the serene movement caused by the current. It is certainly an experience of a lifetime because being carried away by a force that you can’t see is super exciting and entertaining. Also, if you have a lucky day, maybe a turtle will pass by and wave at you.

Paragliding

We think paragliding in Tenerife is awesome because the landscape is amazing and being in the air gives you better views of the island. People come here from all over the world to enjoy this experience and take the best pictures of the huge cliffs, beautiful ocean and Teide from the air.

Canyoning

Due to its very rugged landscape, Tenerife has actually more than one choice for canyoning. If you have never heard of this activity, well, just imagine you in a wetsuit going through a canyon. Sometimes you climb on waterfalls, sometimes you descend using a rope but you always have fun. This type of activity is really wild and it can actually take you to places that only a few lucky ones get to see.

Surfing

There are some awesome places for surfing in Tenerife, both in the North and the South. Probably the most popular place is Playa de las Americas, a place that is suitable for beginners as well. Other places include El Medano, where you can try windsurfing and kitesurfing if you are up for it or you can choose one of the wild beaches in the North, close to Bajamar or Benijo.
